Artist's Statement

Every choice we make creates.

Visiting grandparent’s ceramic studio, public schools and college I found a communication in clay. Strugging with social interaction; pottery and sculpture gave me many supporting environments to be creative and express myself.
I apprenticed, and worked as a full-time production potter, and have been a member and teacher with various small businesses. You could say I am still a journeyman.
Seeking guidance from the past, yet finding my own voice with the elements of geology and landscape, I went on a pilgrimage through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas visiting every pottery and art center I could find
Each Collective with different rules and codes in the studio. The thin line between art and craft, production and exploration is subjective.
Clay is my communion with the past and a connection to the future.
